apparently a man cannot just randomly look in a snack drawer or the mini fridge in a master bedroom without being asked the question as to the nature of the search... i had to explain the "just because they were there" reason for any man to look in a fridge...
although my wife is beginning to wonder if a i am the subject of this post or if she is the subject of this post...

okay but you have to tell the whole story: you were pacing the room while listening to intense part of an audio book and then you stopped you pacing and walked directly over there in a manner that made me think you want something to munch on.
